Counselling/Therapy sessions are of a 50 minute duration. Sessions may include parents only, parent and child together or the child only, depending on the issues.
Counselling sessions often have a problem-solving focus and aim to provide the child or adolescent with skills, strategies and resources to use to assist in managing their difficulties.
Psychological assessments measure the child or adolescent's psychological functioning. It may be specific - eg. assessment of an anxiety disorder, or a more general assessment of the child's overall level of psychological health.
Cognitive assessments provide information about the child's overall level of intellectual functioning as well as language processing, reasoning, attention, visual processing, planning and organisational ability, verbal and non-verbal learning and memory. A cognitive assessment will assist in the identification of learning difficulties, as well as in the identification of giftedness.
Educational assessments measure the child's academic achievement in literacy (reading, writing, spelling), numeracy and oral language. The assessment instruments used are diagnostic and provide specific, detailed information about the child's strengths and weaknesses in these areas.
Neurodevelopmental assessments for ADHD and/or autism focus on understanding each individual’s unique neurotype. These assessments are neuro-affirming and strengths-based, providing a detailed understanding of a child’s thinking, learning, and behaviour, with clear recommendations to support their wellbeing and participation at home and school.

Counselling, Therapy or Assessment Sessions are for 50 minutes.
